I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. GO COWBOYS!! I am currently a student at TAMUCC continuing a bachelor’s in Kinesiology where I also work on our campus gym as a supervisor at the Dugan Wellness Center. I previously interned at the REACT Neuro rehab facility in Dallas, TX. I was required to shadow professional PTs and assisted in providing equipment for the PTs and keeping the space clean and orderly.

Self discipline, optimism, family, virtue, health and wellness, and growth.

As a technician, I assist in any area where I am needed including taking over when there are back-to-back bookings with clients, maintaining the tidiness of the facility, and making sure patients feel welcomed and ready to better themselves. I want to help patients restore a sense of hope and independence while also assisting them in discovering and gaining new found capabilities and abilities.

What I enjoy about Avila Physical Therapy is how welcoming our staff is and the efficiency of the work dynamic. Can’t forget to mention meeting and building relationships with each client I come into contact with.

What is Cynthia reading and listening to right now?

  • Flowers on the Moon – Billy Chapata (book)
  • Film for Her – Orion Carloto (book)
  • Long Way Down – Jason Reynolds (book)

When I’m not working, I enjoy binging on all seasons of Law & Order SVU, cuddling with my dog, Benito, going on runs, and lifting some weight!
