Valerie Dimalanta PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

I was born in California and moved to Corpus Christi when I was 4 (Dad is retired Navy) and have lived here ever since. I went to Flour Bluff High School, completed my undergrad at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and completed my doctorate degree at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

I worked as a technician for 2 years before becoming a physical therapist and during the time I studied, I gained experience in outpatient, inpatient, acute care and pediatrics. I gained experience in aquatic therapy and worked several months in hippotherapy.

Kindess, honesty, loyalty and integrity

I am a physical therapist, and I help patients return to doing the things they were able to do before they were injured or had surgery. I want to be able to help patients return to their hobbies and the things that make life fun!

I like that staff works well together as a team and we are able to get to know patients on a more personable level.

What’s Dr. Valeria Reading, Listening To, or Watching?

  • Harry Potter series!
  • The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo

I’ve recently been trying to travel more and try to make a trip out of town at least once a month. I like to spend time with my family and my godchildren. I like being outdoors (when the heat isn’t absolutely scorching) but I also enjoy a quiet day at home (in the AC) and reading a good book or watching a movie.
