I’m a Corpus Christi native, attended Roy Miller high “Once A Buc Always A Buc”! In the past I worked in several rehabilitation facilities caring for patients. I once temped with Avila PT for 3 months, then got offered to come back full time, I’ve been with company since 2017.
Previously working in a rehab settings, I’ve learned the in’s and out’s of rehabbing new patients from the first physical exam, to last day of successfully completing their rehab program.
The values that drive me and help me daily with work and my personal life would be patience, self-giving, compassion, and kindness.
The thing I love most about Avila Physical Therapy is our atmosphere in the clinic, the joking, laughter, and awesome music is what gets us all through the day. Theres never a dull moment in the clinic, its fun here!
My roll at Avila Therapy starts with helping answering phones and scheduling patients, to helping our billing department with claims, authorizing physical therapy services and maintaining the front desk. When I’m not behind the desk I take on the task of making the front office look clean and presentable, shopping for the clinic, picking out sweet treats, and making the clinic smell amazing the moment you walk in!
Valerie specializes in something that patients deal with is not understanding their road to recovery, with dedication of Avila PT staff we can educate patients, and make them feel more at ease with their process.
